iYoni App with funding for innovation and development in foreign markets from Norwegian Funds
The first women’s health app created by doctors and reproductive medicine experts – iYoni – will be developed thanks to support from Norway. Under the “Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation” programme, we have received funding to implement innovative features, prepare for wider use of artificial intelligence and expand into international markets.
Project objective
The aim of the project “Internationalisation and innovation development of a mobile application supporting fertility and pregnancy” is to develop two new modules:
- a functionality enabling a comprehensive assessment of the current procedure to get pregnant (natural attempts, under the care of a doctor, in a specialised centre)
- functionalities supporting couples in open communication about intimate life and relationship maintenance.
Additionally, the app will be launched in five new markets – it will be available in Google Play and App Store in English, German, Spanish, Swedish and Norwegian.
Important outcomes
As a result of the project, couples will benefit from a significantly improved, innovative tool that will offer them comprehensive support at all stages of pregnancy. The project will contribute to improving the quality of life of one of the most vulnerable groups in society – women planning to start a family and experiencing problems in this process.
The new product will increase access to factual knowledge on fertility, contribute to the improvement of people’s health habits and extension of infertility prevention, as well as offer emotional support in a difficult period.
The project will also increase the competitiveness of the entrepreneur, develop the region and create new jobs.

The Norwegian and EEA funds represent Norway’s contribution to a green, competitive and inclusive Europe. Purpose of the Norwegian Funds
The Norwegian Funds are exclusively funded by Norway and are available in the countries that joined the EU after 2003. The Norwegian Funds for the period 2014-2021 amount to €1.25 billion. Priorities for this period are:
- innovation, research, education, competitiveness and decent work;
- social inclusion, youth employment and poverty reduction;
- environment, energy, climate change and low-carbon economy;
- culture, civil society, good governance and fundamental rights;
- justice and home affairs. per capita is less than 90% of the EU average.
Beneficiaries are local, regional and national authorities, education and research institutions, students, teachers and researchers, NGOs, small and medium-sized enterprises and social partners.
